About CBD

CBD is short for cannabidiol, a cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. It is naturally-occurring and non-psychoactive.

CBD (cannabidiol) is a phytocannabinoid (or plant-derived cannabinoid) and one of many cannabinoids in hemp. This link shows the chemistry information about CBD:

CBD Chemistry Summary

The body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a network of receptors throughout the human body that helps regulate physiological and cognitive processes. The ECS works with naturally-occurring cannabinoids in your body. There are two primary external cannabinoids, CBD and THC, and over 60 additional minor cannabinoids found in plant and other natural sources. CBD is the primary cannabinoid found in industrial hemp.

CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabidoid system (ECS), a network of receptors throughout the human body that helps regulate physiological and cognitive processes.

CBD is a plant-based product for individuals looking for all-natural, healthy wellness products.

While the legal status of marijuana-derived CBD is contentious, hemp-derived CBD is legal in most states in the form of oils, edibles, ointments, and various other products. Korent products are derived from industrial hemp, which is authorized for interstate sale under the 2014 Farm Bill.

Hemp contains a low concentration of THC (under 0.3%) while marijuana contains a high concentration of THC (between 5-35%). Both are members of the cannabis family but are cultivated and used differently.

Everyone’s body is different and may require different amounts of CBD based on factors such as metabolism, activity level, medications you are taking, and overall health. Because there is currently no recommended daily value from the FDA,  you will need to determine the dose that fits your body and purpose. Begin with a low dose and increase or decrease your dosage based on signs from your body.

Your optimal flavor and method of administration is whatever you prefer most. However, your usage method may have an effect on the amount of CBD that gets absorbed into your system, and how long it takes to feel the effects.

Chromatography is the process of breaking down the various constituents of a mixture into its various parts to be quantified and analyzed independently. In the context of CBD, third-party laboratories use chromatography to test for CBD and THC levels, as well as other minor cannabinoids.

A CBD test assesses our product at all phases, from raw material to final product, to ensure that it adheres to our specifications and meets our rigorous quality standards. This confirms that our products contain exactly what they claim on the label.

Korent is owned by Criticality, who brings over 100 years of working with farmers and over 25 years of experience in extraction and purification in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

We currently offer e-liquid and oil drop products, with additional products launching soon.

Our products contain varying amounts of CBD. To ensure a product is right for you, check the label for CBD content per serving.

Our CBD products can be administered orally or through vaporization. CBD products ingested orally may take longer to feel and are subject the to “first-pass effect” which may reduce the amount of CBD that enters your system. CBD products taken through vaporization are not subject to the first pass effect and may act faster as a result. However, the best method of use is strictly your preference.

We analyze and validate all raw hemp material for cannabinoids, pesticides, microbial contamination and heavy metals.  Our final formulated products are tested for cannabinoids to ensure the precise amounts of CBD of THC in our products, which are then made visible to you. They are then further tested for purity, as well as pesticides, heavy metals and microbial contamination.

Our raw hemp is analyzed for cannabinoids, pesticides, microbial contamination and heavy metals. After completion, our final products are reanalyzed for these materials and tested for purity.

If you are purchasing your Korent CBD product at a retail location, you can view the batch quality results there. Alternatively, you can download specific results for your product on our batch quality page.

When you download testing results, the first page is our internal quality control certificate of analysis that summarizes the testing results. The more detailed independent laboratory results are on the following pages.

The batch test results of your product are available to view on our website using the number found on your bottle.

We use a solvent-free supercritical fluid extraction method that is natural and environmentally-friendly.

We use CBD derived from industrial hemp and not marijuana, meaning our products contain less than 0.3% THC in compliance with the 2014 Farm Bill. Products containing less than 0.3% THC have been shown to not induce the feeling of being “high.”

Our e-liquid products work with any open-tank or refillable system and are fitted with a dripper tip rather than a dropper to make administration simple. The VG/PG concentration of our products is 50/50, and may be used alone or in combination with other e-liquids.

Korent ships to most states and certain countries. If you have questions about shipping, please contact us.
